As part of our ongoing commitment to vulnerable communities, Alianah is launching another vital relief mission to Zambia - delivering life-saving aid to those who need it most.

Zambia faces immense challenges: chronic poverty, widespread malnutrition, recurring droughts and floods, and the heavy toll of HIV/AIDS and malaria. Rural families often walk miles just to fetch clean water. Children miss school because of hunger or illness. Orphans, many left parentless by the epidemic, grow up facing an uncertain future.

Why Zambia needs your help

• Widespread hunger & malnutrition: Nearly 40% of children under five are stunted, with food insecurity peaking during the “lean season.”

• Water scarcity & poor sanitation: In remote districts, fewer than half of households have access to safe drinking water or basic latrines - fuelling preventable diseases.

• High disease burden: Malaria remains a leading killer, while HIV leaves countless children orphaned and families struggling to cope.

• Barriers to education: Costs for school fees, uniforms, and supplies put learning out of reach for many children, trapping families in a cycle of poverty.

• Hot Meals: Community kitchens provide nourishing meals to children, the elderly, and the sick - bringing energy, comfort, and a safe space.

• Bed Net Distribution: Insecticide-treated mosquito nets cut malaria transmission and save lives.

• Food Packs: Grocery bundles of maize meal, beans, cooking oil, and fortified flour sustain families through lean periods.

• Water Pumps & Purification Kits: Hand-pumps, solar wells, and filtration systems restore reliable access to clean water.

• Malnutrition Packs: Ready-to-use therapeutic foods and micronutrient supplements rehabilitate malnourished children.

• Orphan Sponsorship: Monthly stipends, school fees, uniforms, and mentorship give orphaned boys and girls security and hope for a brighter future.
